Special General Meeting

Update the Rules of the Society (ROA) for Auckland HOG.

To be held on 27^th March 2023 at 7.30pm

VENUE:  Akarana Golf Club (1388 Dominion Road, Mount Roskill, Auckland 1041)

Please be advised:

It has been identified that a number of Chapters (globally) do not conform to the legal requirements of the use of the Trademark.

Therefore, at the time of adopting the new ROA, Chapters are required to amend and adopt the following name format:

Current Registered Society Name:    Auckland Harley Owners Group 

Required to amend to:                       Auckland Chapter

These requirements have been issued by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

Why? – to ensure global conformity, brand alignment and protection of the Sponsoring Dealer, the Chapter, and its members.

What is required?   -   Each Chapter will be required to convene a ‘Special General Meeting’ where the sole business is to discuss and adopt these new Rules of Society.

• Chapters must provide all members with at least 21 days notice of the Special General Meeting.
• A quorum must be present at this meeting.
• 75% of those members present must agree to adopt the new Rules of Society.
• These updated ROA are required to be adopted no later than 30 June 2023.
