Roll 1K For MDA, Hampton Downs

We will be departing from Z Bombay around 12pm so make sure to arrive a little earlier if you want to have a coffee or bite to eat before the ride briefing and departure.

The RCs brief takes place 10 minutes before the ride begins. Please ensure your bike has a current WOF and Registration. Pillions are welcome. Back patches and rockers are optional. Ride safe and have fun.

What's All This About ?
Muscular Dystrophy New Zealand are having their annual fund raising appeal this September and HOG Auckland Chapter is happy to support this worthy cause to help Kiwi’s living with muscular dystrophy. Our chapter has a long association with Muscular Dystrophy Northern branch (MDN) and all funds raised by our team effort will be directed to MDN for benefit to our local communities.

The theme for this years appeal is “Roll 1K for MDA” with the premise that you or your team gather sponsors to support rolling 1km on your choice of wheeled conveyance whether that be a wheelchair, roller skates, skate board, roller blades, bicycle, electric scooter, walker frame or perhaps even a Harley-Davidson motorbike.

What About The Ride ?
HOG Auckland Chapter is, not surprisingly, planning to roll 1km on their Harley-Davidson motorbikes as part of a special event planned to take place at Hampton Downs Race Track on Friday 29th September between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. We hope that as many chapter members as possible will be able to spare half a day to come along on their bikes to “Roll 1K for MDA” at Hampton Downs so we can fulfil the challenge part of our fund raiser with a spectacular rollout of Harleys in a controlled ride around the Hampton Downs Raceway.
