Thunder In The Bay 2026 will bring the Harley thunder back to Paihia in Northland over the weekend of November 13-15, 2026.

Thunder In The Bay is proudly organised by Auckland H.O.G. Chapter. Tickets go on sale through Eventbrite on Friday 1st May at 7:00pm. Ticket numbers are limited and will be sold on a first come first served basis.

Our rally will be based at the Copthorne Hotel in Paihia with doors opening from midday on Friday 13th November for registrations as we count down to a massive evening of entertainment starting with a full buffet dinner from 6:00pm followed by a charity auction and then dancing the night away to live music provided by Auckland band Ran For Cover.

We have a preferential booking price with Copthorne should you wish to stay at the H.O.G. rally venue. When making your Copthorne accommodation booking ensure to use our special H.O.G. code "HARLEY26" to secure the preferential rate or, alternately, use the link below which has the code already loaded:

Auckland Harley Davidson - Delegates

On Saturday there will be a Thunder Run departing from the Copthorne while some of you may choose to make the 400km return ride to Cape Reinga. Saturday afternoon and evening is at your leisure relaxing with your H.O.G. brothers and sisters either at the Copthorne or one of the many fine establishments in Paihia. On Sunday you will pack up for a ride to wherever the roads take you !

RALLY PROGRAMME

Registration Times and Location

Registration will open at the Copthorne Hotel on Friday 13th from 12pm until 6pm  
Check-in is located in the Rangatira Room of the Copthorne Hotel, Paihia.

Meals

Friday 13th Evening: Buffet meal provided onsite from 6:00pm through 8:00pm.

Thunder Ride

Saturday 14th - Leaving from Copthorne Hotel at 10:45am / Rider briefing 10:30 am Rangatira Room

Refunds

Tickets are not refundable but are transferable

Transportation

Free parking available at the hotel and we have arranged overnight security to look after the bikes. There will be a shuttle service operating between Copthorne Hotel and Paihia before and after the Friday night activities.
The route will be available at registration along with times for Pick up and Drop Off.

For those planning to stay at the Copthorne Paihia, the main rally venue, use the booking code "HARLEY26" to secure a preferential rate. Planning to stay elsewhere ? No problem, there are plenty of motels and  air bnb's throughout Paihia but we do recommend to book early to avoid disappointment.
